Spectator Code of Conduct

Dear Parents,

Please read this letter in its entirety, all of the information that follows is important.  As parents we all want the best for our children, and we do our best to help them succeed in whatever they choose to do in their lives.  As a community and soccer club, our board of directors, coaches, parents and teammates need to uphold this same value to assist each other in learning the game of soccer as well as respect and sportsmanship.

What we are asking you as parents, is please try to be supportive to our players as well as the visiting teams.  Encouragement can go a long way.  We encourage our parents to attend their child’s games; we encourage our parents to cheer for the entire team as well as their own child.  Life is full of trial and error, winning and losing, succeeding and failing, each child have their strengths and weakness and we as a club want to focus on the positives in each child.

Spectator Code of Conduct

As a spectator in any activity held by or under the auspices of Reed Custer Soccer Club, you must meet the following requirements in regard to your conduct during any such activity or event:

1. Respect the decisions of officials and teach young people to do the same.

2. Never ridicule or scold a young player for making a mistake. Positive comments are motivational.

3. Condemn the use of violence in any form, whether it is by other spectators, coaches, officials or players.

4. Show respect for your team’s opponents. Without them there would be no game.

5. Do not use violence, harassment or abuse in any form (that is, do not use foul language, sledge or harass players, coaches, officials or other spectators).

6. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.

7. Officials and coaches have the authority to ask an individual to remove themselves from the field if any of the above requests are violated excessively.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.  We are looking forward to having a fun and memorial soccer season.   We know your support, positive reinforcement, and discretion in this matter will be greatly appreciated by all of the parties involved.

Thank you for cooperation,

Reed Custer Soccer Club
